Goal
Create a sleep tracker that is comfortable to the point the user forgets he/she uses one.
Requirements
Besides accumulating data, a tracker provides feedback and recommends best practices via a mobile app.
Development
When creating Yullo we thought what issues affect the quality of sleep and found out 3 must-have features:

  • Contactless. A user does not have to wear anything extra while sleeping. The device is put under a mattress as its high-precision sensors allows for gathering data without direct contact with a body.

  • No power cord. Yullo works up to 3 months without recharging.

  • Compact. Yullo is small and thin enough so that a user does not feel it under a mattress.

A system of cards is designed to recommend a user what practices made him/her sleep better.
Solution
Yullo uses a high-precision sensor that reads all sleep-related data: breathing rate, pulse, movements, snore. It works by analyzing vibrations produced during sleep and forms meaningful statistical data.

Data accuracy by Yullo can be compared to professional medical equipment. It is confirmed by somnological center surveys (91% data match).
Yullo includes a number of features to support healthy sleep: smart alarm clock, feedback, recommendations and healthy habits tracking.
